Our Home Care Department has multiple positions available for people to provide Home Support Respite care to our clients. We are looking for dependable and flexible candidates who are kind, patient, and friendly!
DUTIES:
- Provide support to persons in their home
- Preparing of meals and assisting with medications is part of the role
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain clean and safe environment
- Document all activities and events during each shift according to program policy
- Provide regular reports to program supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with, supervising, and/or assisting persons in the program
- Ability and willingness to work with all persons
- Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities of any age is an asset
- Valid Class 5 MB driver’s license, with the willingness to obtain a class 4 driving license
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Clean and current Vulnerable Sectors check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required
- Training in First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset, however training can be provided
- Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal / First Nations ancestry, with first preference to Sagkeeng band members
