We are seeking all levels and experienced carpenters. Working on in-community projects for the next 3-4 months to help complete important projects.

Salary will depend on experience.

DUTIES:

  1. Construction and Installation – Build, assemble, and install various structures and fixtures, including walls, floors, doorframes, and cabinets.
  2. Blueprint Reading and Interpretation – Follow blueprints and building plans to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials.
  3. Material Handling – Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials, ensuring precise and accurate work.
  4. Tool Proficiency – Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform carpentry tasks efficiently and safely.
  5. Safety Compliance – Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
  6. Client Interaction – Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the final product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum 2-3 years previous carpentry experience
  2. Red seal carpenter would be an asset but will consider all past experience.
  3. At ease with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, nail guns chisels and sanders
  4. Valid driver’s license is required
  5. Own tool belt with tools is required
  6. Able to perform physical labour jobs, including standing/walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. for up to eight hours at a time
  7. Must have steel toe boots and other PPE as required
  8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal or written directions, a high sense of urgency, and a team player attitude
