Under the direction of the Director of Health, the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager, is a professional who handles the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Jordan’s Principle programs. The Program Manager will liaise with internal and external collaterals in the provision of clinical & essential needs/services for our families and children on reserve. The role supervises and coordinates the efforts of the teams and ensures efforts are in alignment with the Health Centre’s strategic planning, policies, and procedures. It is the expectation that this role would develop and deliver relevant training for staff including contract workers.
DUTIES:
- Provide specialized services to children and youth on reserve.
- Design, direct, implement & Disseminate objectives & operational strategies.
- Create and manage program budgets.
- Develop, process, and monitor evaluation toolkits and indicators to measure program performance.
- Ensure operations are consistent with regulatory guidelines and internal processes.
- Develop innovative work systems and processes to simplify operations of current programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or other
- 2-3 years’ experience in supervision and working with Indigenous people.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Must practice cultural humility and have knowledge and understanding
- working with diverse populations.
- Must have proficient knowledge regarding the comprehensive issues relating to colonization, intergenerational trauma, and residential school trauma.
