We are looking for dependable and flexible candidates who are kind, patient, and kid friendly!
DUTIES:
- Provide safe and fun supervision and care to children served, either in-home or at the Jordan’s Principle facility
- Pick up and drop off children before and after scheduled respite care
- Provide children served with a healthy meal during scheduled respite care
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain clean and safe environment
- Document all activities and events during each shift according to program policy
- Provide regular reports to program supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with, supervising, and/or parenting children of all ages
- Ability and willingness to work with children and youth with disabilities
- Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities of any age is an asset
- Valid Class 5 MB driver’s license, with the willingness to obtain a class 4 driving license
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Clean and current Vulnerable Sectors check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required
- Training in First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset, however training can be provided
- Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal / First Nations ancestry, with first preference to Sagkeeng band members
