We are looking for dependable and flexible candidates who are kind, patient, and kid friendly!

DUTIES:

• Provide safe and fun supervision and care to children served, either in-home or at the Jordan’s Principle facility
• Pick up and drop off children before and after scheduled respite care
• Provide children served with a healthy meal during scheduled respite care
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain clean and safe environment
• Document all activities and events during each shift according to program policy
• Provide regular reports to program supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with, supervising, and/or parenting children of all ages
• Ability and willingness to work with children and youth with disabilities
• Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities of any age is an asset
• Valid Class 5 MB driver’s license, with the willingness to obtain a class 4 driving license
• Access to a reliable vehicle is required

• Clean and current Vulnerable Sectors check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required

• Training in First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset, however training can be provided

• Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal / First Nations ancestry, with first preference to Sagkeeng band members
